Empowering Canadian civil society organizations in the fight against influenza

Influenza is among the leading causes for hospitalization in older adults in Canada.  Yet a decline in influenza vaccination and suboptimal rates for 2018-2019 are evidenced by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and below the national coverage goals recommended by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) of 80%.  IFA conducted a qualitative study with Canadian civil society organizations (CSOs) to identify barriers to seniors and organizations to prioritizing influenza.  Read the press release, the report and the infographic to learn more and share this important message.
