Towards Longevity-Ready Societies: Insights from Older Persons and Global Stakeholders

Between August 2025 and January 2026, the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) launched two global surveys on older persons’ experiences and multisectoral engagement in healthy ageing.

A global townhall in January 2026 brought these insights together, alongside key actors and sector leaders, to identify shared challenges, emerging opportunities, and priorities for collective action at the midpoint of the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing and beyond.

Discussions highlighted shared challenges, emerging innovations, and opportunities to strengthen collaboration on healthy ageing and longevity.

Bringing together ageing experts, advocates, policymakers, researchers, healthcare leaders, and community partners, the townhall reinforced key priorities and opportunities to help shape a future where all people can age with health, choice, and dignity.

This infographic captures key insights, themes, and opportunities identified in the global surveys and surfaced from the townhall, which can be mobilised by the sector to drive change and shape longevity-ready societies.
