Older LGBTQI People
Sign the Pledge: Older LGBTQI People Call to Action
“Invisibility and isolation among older sexual orientation and gender identity minorities across the globe leads to neglect and abuse,” said Michael Adams, CEO of SAGE and speaker at the formal launch of the Call to Action at the IFA 14th Global Conference on Ageing.
The International Federation on Ageing (IFA) in partnership with Egale Canada and SAGE is calling on governments, industry, and organizations to protect the rights of older LGBTQI people through the implementation of appropriate and effective policies, programs and practices.
This global movement has just begun with Hall & Prior Aged Care (Australia), Victoria LGBTI Taskforce (Australia), International Longevity Centre (ILC) Global Alliance (International), National Institute on Ageing (Canada), FADOQ (Canada), Silver Rainbow: LGBTI Ageing and Aged Care (Australia) and Ishtar MSM (Kenya) signing the pledge.
The IFA calls on your support in committing to the rights of older LGBTQI people by the IFA 15th Global Conference in 2020.
Standing Together is Standing as One.
