IAHSA was founded in 1994 by an international group of leaders who realized that the global ageing crisis would have a profound impact on our earth’s elders. Over the years IAHSA has created an international forum for the exchange of research, services, products and training that make up the Global Ageing Network.
IAHSA represents more than 20,000 ageing services providers worldwide who serve almost 5 million elderly daily. IAHSA’s members are in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong (SAR), India, Israel, Ireland, Japan, Malta, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and The United States of America.
