Sonia joined the IFA team as the Chief Strategy Officer in April 2025. With experience managing operations and multi-sectoral projects in Canadian and international community-based organizations spanning from health care, poverty reduction, food security, housing, newcomer settlement to women’s empowerment, Sonia is keen to bring the strengths of diverse people and sectors together to build equitable, resilient and more connected communities. Katrina joined the IFA team as a Project Officer in 2021. She is a recent graduate from McMaster University’s MSc. Global Health Program, and holds a BSc. in Microbiology and Immunology with Honours from Dalhousie University. Since embarking on her global health studies, Katrina has been involved in various health research projects and initiatives. View Profile

Berenice joined the IFA team in November 2020. She has a BA in Communications and Digital Media from the ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico and an MSc in Business and Management from the University of Strathclyde where she graduated with Honours. View Profile

With a diverse academic background in health and business, along with professional experience in policy development, research, and program implementation, she brings a strong understanding of the broader global health policy landscape. Elizabeth has recently started the role of Project and Policy Coordinator at the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) in 2024. Elizabeth brings a robust academic background with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Toronto. Carley joined the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) as a Policy and Project Coordinator in 2024, bringing a wealth of academic skills and hands-on experience. She earns her Master of Public Health from the University of Toronto, specializing in Aging, Palliative, and Support Care Across the Life Course in June 2024. She is a current graduate student pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Boston University, focusing on health equity measures.
