IFA 11th Global Conference on Ageing – Prague 2012

The IFA 11th Global Conference on Ageing, “Ageing Connects” took place in Prague, Czech Republic  from 28 May – 1 June 2012.  The conference was successful in achieving its various goals, and in particular, it accomplished the objective of underscoring the idea that the protection of human rights is a fundamental prerequisite for an effective response to population ageing.  Through achieving these goals, the Prague conference created an enduring impact on the age-related policy response globally and, in particular, within the Czech Republic and its neighbouring regions of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
