The International Federation on Ageing (IFA) is an international, non-governmental organization (NGO) with a unique membership base comprising government, NGOs, academics, industry, and individuals in over 70 countries.  Now over 45 years old, the IFA has become known as a leading and innovative organization that works across disciplines and sectors toward common goals that improve the lives of older people.  Through the IFA’s formal relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) and general consultative status at the United Nations and its agencies, the IFA is in the position to advocate directly with member states and contribute to and inform intergovernmental dialogue.

We draw information from over 4000 news and research feeds and house the information in one convenient location to support the work of all sectors involved in supporting and engaging with older people.

IFA VoltAGE E-News

This is one of the key platforms to disseminate information on projects and initiatives being undertaken by the IFA. It also seeks input from the IFA global membership to showcase leading practice initiatives that would be of interest to our readership enabling the IFA to be a global point of connection of experts and expertise across sectors and disciplines toward helping to shape and influence age-related policies and practices. IFA VoltAGE mobilizes and harnesses the energy and expertise of members around the world.

Wise Words

Wise Words comes in a number of formats including blogs and videos. Hear from experts on current trends and the issues impacting older people from across the globe in the IFA’s continued efforts to shape and influence policy.

Webinar Library

Supporting ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the issues experienced by older people globally, the IFA works with experts and partner organizations to provide a variety of webinars on population ageing subject matter with all webinars being recorded and publicly available. Topics include: WHO/Age-Friendly Environments; Addressing Inequalities of Older LGBTQI People; Adult Vaccination Priorities; United Nations International Day of Older People and Post-IFA Conferences Education Series.

Publications

The IFA actively seeks publication materials and reports that is of interest to those supporting the development of policy and programs that improve the lives of older people.
