brookdaleFounded in 1974, the Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging aims to improve the health and well-being of older adults through research, policy and professional development.  To meet this challenge, its research focuses on the most common health problems among older adults and develops and tests the best interventions to help them stay in their home communities.  The center also helps shape policy by sharing its findings with local and national partners. With the addition of the Sadin Institute on Law and Public Policy, Brookdale pioneered the field of elder law. Finally, as one of the country’s first academic gerontology centers, Brookdale is fostering a generation of professionals and paraprofessionals who serve older adults.
