Elizabeth has recently started the role of Project and Policy Coordinator at the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) in 2024. Elizabeth brings a robust academic background with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Toronto. Her academic journey reflects a diverse range of research experiences, including the critical role of community spaces for the 2SLGBTQ+ community, social media’s impact on feminist movements, and urban planning.
Outside of academia, her workplace experiences in community organizations that address the systemic barriers faced by individuals experiencing substance use, a lack of housing, and mental illness, fueled her dedication to shaping socially progressive policies. As she continues with the IFA, Elizabeth remains unwavering in her dedication to making a meaningful impact in the field of social policy.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Elizabeth enjoys painting, pottery, cooking, and watching movies, often accompanied by her two dogs!
