Cara Murdoch

Cara joined The IFA team as the Executive Assistant to the Secretary General in January 2025.

She has had a passion for ageing since her days at university, in the last few years working in a senior leadership role in an older persons’ charity in Paisley, Scotland, before relocating to Canada. She played a key role in the strategic vision for the organization coming out of the Covid-19 Pandemic and gained significant experience in working with local government to support older adults in ageing safely within their community.

Cara holds a BA with honours in Business with Marketing from Glasgow Caledonian University. Upon graduation, she entered the field of market research. She worked with clients from across the globe, managing both quantitative and qualitative projects.

In life outside of work, Cara enjoys exploring her new home country, is a coffee lover, and, above all, values time with her family and friends.
