Understanding Public Perceptions and Information Sources in Canada

Brain Health banner

The prevention and treatment of cognitive decline across our community are crucial to supporting individuals with cognitive decline and their caregivers. As part of this important work, the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) is gathering views on public perceptions surrounding brain health and cognitive decline.

In our work to combat ageism and stigma we aim to identify common misconceptions, and gaps in information sources for members of the public, as well as caregivers and healthcare professionals in Canada. The findings from this survey lay the groundwork to help inform mechanisms to improve awareness and understanding.
