What is the Global Café?

At the IFA, we believe in the power of dialogue to drive meaningful change. The Global Café Series is our monthly virtual convening—an open and welcoming space where leaders, practitioners, and thinkers from across sectors and regions come together to exchange insights, challenge perspectives, and explore solutions to the most pressing issues in healthy ageing and longevity.

Through open dialogue, the Global Café brings together diverse voices from policy, research, civil society, and industry to explore emerging trends and real-world challenges shaping ageing societies. It is a space for shared learning and collective thinking, where global perspectives meet practical insight, and where ideas spark collaboration and help influence policy and practice.

Recorded Global Café sessions are available exclusively to IFA members.

Upcoming Global Café Series

The International Federation on Ageing (IFA) is pleased to launch a new Global Café series, Longevity Around the World: Regional Conversations on Becoming Longevity-Ready.

Bringing together IFA Regional Directors, members, and regional experts, the series will explore how different societies are preparing for longer lives and what regional experiences can contribute to global discussions on healthy ageing, longevity, and development beyond 2030. Through regional perspectives and cross-sector dialogue, the series will examine the opportunities, challenges, and innovations shaping longevity-ready societies around the world.

Each session will be followed by an exclusive 30-minute networking opportunity for IFA Members. The series will continue throughout 2026 and 2027, highlighting regions across the globe.
